Abstract

Given that transformations in the urban environment, including the transformation of green urban infrastructure, as a phenomenon, form and process that mostly occur due to socio-economic and technogenic impacts tend to be manageable and constructive, but are mostly not in solving problematic situations of the disturbed urban environment of our time, the consequence of various predetermined causes will be constructive in the presence of a scientifically sound foundation. The article analyzes the historical aspects of the principles of formation of green infrastructure of cities through the prism of functional analysis, as one of the aspects of architectural and urban planning formation of green infrastructure, in order to find out which principles underlie the formation of green infrastructure in historical retrospect, in order to determine the effectiveness of various types, forms and functions of green infrastructure of the city as an integrated system, which have not lost their relevance and are the fundamental basis of an integrated system that can positively affect the quality of life of cities. The functional analysis of the determinants of green infrastructure formation through historical genesis, according to the stages defined by the author, made it possible to clarify the fundamental principles of architectural and urban planning formation of green infrastructure and to establish the patterns of their sustainability at the stages of origin, development and formation, as well as to outline the prospects for further research. The system of greening the urban environment has changed in different historical periods (Inception, Development and Formation), corresponding to the characteristics of each era. However, in modern urban planning, which is aimed at creating a green infrastructure of cities, there are some principles that are unchanged and important. These are the principles of equal distribution and accessibility of green spaces for all city residents, the principles of taking into account the social and cultural needs and values of people, as well as the principles of aesthetic design and decoration of the urban landscape with the help of plants, as well as having a positive impact on the city's ecology and contributing to its sustainable development.
