REQUIREMENTS FOR ARTICLE FORMATTING for the collection “SCIENTIFIC PROBLEMS OF ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN PLANNING”
Scientific articles on the following research topics are accepted for publication:
Architecture and urban planning.
Problems of preservation of historical and architectural heritage.
Design of the architectural environment.
Architectural and artistic education.
Modern technologies and energy efficiency.
Aesthetic and philosophical aspects of architecture.
Construction and civil engineering.
The electronic file must be created in Microsoft Word and saved in *.doc or *.docx format. The file name must contain the number of the publication topic and the surname of the first author (for example, 5 Ivanov.doc). The text of the article must be carefully edited, checked by the author, and certified by their signature. The author of the scientific manuscript bears responsibility for any errors in the submitted materials.
Text format. Articles are submitted in English or Ukrainian and are published in the original language. The text of the article is typed on A4 sheets using Times New Roman 12 pt, single line spacing, justified alignment, top margin 3 cm, other margins 2 cm, paragraph indent – 1.0 cm.
Article length – 10 pages including abstracts and bibliographic references.
Rules for text formatting:
the text must be justified;
the dash must not be replaced with a hyphen and vice versa;
pages must not be numbered;
paragraphs must not be created using the Tab key or spaces;
text highlighting is allowed using italics (underlining is not allowed);
bibliographic references are given in square brackets in the text and in the reference list.
The first number indicates the source number in the reference list, the second indicates the page number. A dash without spaces is used to indicate a page range (for example, 5-7). Page numbers referring to one source are separated by a semicolon.
For example: [4, p.25], [4, p.25-27], [4, p.25; 7, p.32-33], [17-21].
Graphic materials. All non-text objects must be created using Microsoft Word tools (Microsoft Excel Chart, Microsoft Equation).
Figures (diagrams, photos) and tables must be numbered, titled, and placed after their first reference in the text (Fig. 1) or (Table 1).
Illustrations are accepted in raster *.jpg format and must be sufficiently contrastive. The resolution must be 300 dpi (at the actual size in the article text). Each figure must be inserted into a table with two rows: the upper row contains the image itself, and the lower row contains the caption with the figure number. Table content must be center-aligned (captions in 11 pt).
Articles that do not meet these requirements will not be considered. Submitted materials are subject to additional peer review by leading specialists in the relevant scientific fields. Articles that do not meet the requirements of the professional journal may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.
Submission of materials:
materials should be sent to the e-mail addresses: zbirnyk-das@odaba.edu.ua, tulena@odaba.edu.ua;
the publication topic must be indicated in the e-mail;
after submission, the editorial board checks the materials, edits them (if necessary), agrees them with the author, and sends them for review;
submission period – 30 days (from the moment of invitation to publish); review period – 14 days; publication printing – 30 days.
After a positive review, a publication fee of 1000 UAH is required (regardless of the number of pages and figures).
File names should follow the example: 1 Koval_Article; 1 Koval_OrgFee.

The collection is published once a year (May–June of the current year).
Articles to the scientific collection are accepted within one month until December.

Abstract. The length must be at least 1800 characters for the English abstract and at least 1000 characters for the Ukrainian abstract. The abstract text is printed in regular font. Before each abstract, the article title (in the corresponding language), author’s initials and surname, e-mail address, ORCID, and affiliation must be provided.
The abstract must include a brief summary of the article, including the problem statement, purpose of the article, main content, and conclusions.
Keywords: after each abstract, in the corresponding language – no more than 10 words or phrases.

Research objectives.
Main material.
Conclusions.
Prospects for further research.
References (must include recent sources not older than 5–10 years; electronic sources must contain correct links).

Bibliography formatting must comply with the National Standard of Ukraine “Information and Documentation. Bibliographic References. General Provisions and Rules. DSTU 8302:2015”. Sources are numbered in square brackets […], the number of references should be from 14 to 21+.
References – formatting according to the APA standard with mandatory indication of DOI:************* or the URL of the publication.
Surname, initials of the author(s). (Year). Title of the article in English. Title of the journal in English, Volume (Issue), Pages, DOI:************* or URL of the publication.
Payment is made only after confirmation of acceptance of the article for publication.
The cost of publication is 1000 UAH (regardless of the number of pages and figures).
Articles authored solely by third-level higher education applicants (Doctor of Philosophy degree) studying under state-funded programs (single author without co-authors) are exempt from the publication fee. To obtain exemption, the author must provide a certificate or another document confirming their status as a third-level higher education applicant.
